Alan K. Koehler, age 69, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. He was born in Massillon on October 12, 1940 to the late Donald L. and Ethel C. Koehler. Alan was employed as a roofer for many years working for various companies. He was a member of Union Local #88 and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He will always be deeply missed and never forgotten. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara A. Koehler on July 22, 1999. Survivors include his daughter, Amy S. Koehler of North Canton; grandson, Rob King; four brothers, Donald E. Koehler of Middletown, OH, Vincent A. Koehler of Robersonville, NC, Dale E. Koehler of Durham, NC and Chris A. Koehler of Canton; his sister, Janet L. (Tolbert) Copeland of Canton; three nephews and 12 nieces. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11am in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Robertsville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 6-8pm in the funeral home.
