Sara W. Evans, age 93, of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. She was born on August 6, 1916, in Alliance, to the late George and Lillian McCort. Sara was a 1933 graduate of Malvern High School and also graduated from Aultman School of Nursing. She retired in 1973 after 40 years of service as a Registered Nurse. Sara was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was involved in United Methodist Women. She was a very loving and giving person, who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Evans, in 2002; two brothers, Robert and Harold McCort; and sister, Vera Lininger. She is survived by her two children, Donald (Connie) Evans of Canton and Carol (Eugene) Grubb of Alliance; four grandchildren, Dennis (Heidi) Evans, Daniel (Penny) Evans, Michelle (Mark) Fedor and Heidi (Mark) Gaines; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11am in the Reed Funeral Home with Pastor James Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10-11am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Harbor Light Hospice (25 S. Main Street, Suite 207
