Joyce K. Hair, age 65, of Canton, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 23, 1944, in Canton, to the late Hye and Bertha Stockwell. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. Joyce had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hair in 2007. Joyce is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Camalia Hair of Canton; two sisters, Starlene (Robert) Mangus of Louisville and Sandra Murray of Canton; nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Dixie. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the Aultman Palliative Care Unit for their outstanding care and kindness. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 11am in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Burial will follow in East Union Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 5-8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aultman Palliative Care Unit (2600 6th St. S.W., Canton, OH 44710).
